The RV Farley Mowat is a research vessel that was previously operated by Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. It's previous names with the group were RV Sea Shepherd III and RV Ocean Warrior. The ship was seized by the Canadian Coast Guard in 2008 during a seal campaign. It was bought by Green Ship LLC in 2009. As of Fall 2010, The Farley Mowat remains berthed at Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. She was the flagship of Sea Shepherd's fleet until seized by the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans off the coast of Newfoundland in April 2008. She was renamed in 2002 after Canadian writer Farley Mowat.
